An Israeli Mom Entrepreneur - "If I were a male, they would have called me a president without understanding  working women's struggle". Different from most of medical doctors, Dr. Ornit has also a degree in business-economics. After experiencing several medical start-ups, she established the Q-trials, and now she knows she is helped by her first business degree.
Being an entrepreneur and a mother, she is a pride of her children (Japanese).

Rainbow Medical raises $25m from Chinese investors. The medical device start-up investor has set up a China office for strategic collaborations. Rainbow Medical, which specializes in seed and incubator investments in medical device start-ups and developing breakthrough medical technologies, has raised $25 million from investors in China. Rainbow Medical has also opened a China office to promote strategic collaborations.
 
Patient monitoring solutions co EarlySense raises $20m. The round was led by Samsung Ventures with an investment of $10 million. Ramat Gan-based , which provides solutions for contact-free patient monitoring, announced today that it has completed a $20 million financing round, led by Samsung Ventures with an investment of $10 million.
 
Novartis seeks new Israeli technologies. Novartis exec David Epstein says having invested in Israel's Gamida Cell and BioLineRx, Novartis is hungry for more. Novartis AG (NYSE: NVS), the world's biggest pharmaceutical company, recently increased its interest in Israel. For a long time, the company was active in marketing and clinical trials in Israel, and now it is involved in investment as well.
 
Drug & Med Device Regulatory Course. Sarah Furie, a veteran specialist in the field of drug and medical device regulation and registration, is offering a course on the subject in collaboration with Tel Aviv University starting March 8.
