New Guidelines for Clinical Trials in Human Subjects in Israel. Guidelines 14-new "guidelines for clinical trials in humans - 2014" will come into force on 15.11.2014, this guideline replaces the guideline 14 - "Guidelines for clinical trials in humans Law - 2006". In addition to the guideline, new forms packages were created according to various themes: preparation, medical device, advanced therapies, genetic research without product, existing data and questionnaires (Hebrew).

CTrials & Pharma Israel are hosting an event "dialogue between the Ministry of Health and the clinical trials community about: The new guidelines for clinical trials". The event will take place in the Ministry of Health Building in Jerusalem on November 19, 2014.
On November 4, 2014, CDRH’s Division of Industry and Consumer Education (DICE) hosted the CDRH Industry Basics Workshop. The workshop was featuring five sessions, each of which consisted of a presentation followed by a question and answer session with a panel of experts. The five sessions were: Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) Program, 510(k) Program, De Novo, Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), Electronic Medical Device Reporting (eMDR).

2014 – Record Year for Offerings by Israeli Companies. 2014 is on course to be a record-making year for offerings by Israeli companies in the US capital market, with 26 IPOs and secondary offerings by public companies so far. The total value of the Israeli offerings came to a record $3.6 billion, surpassing the 1999 record of $3.3 billion. 
Chinese Pharma Titan WuXi Lands in Israel. WuXi PharmaTech, a Chinese R&D company providing services to many of the world's largest pharmaceutical and medical companies, has announced its decision to open an office in Israel for the promotion of R&D services to local Israeli clients.
Israeli Technology in Battle against Ebola. Israeli technology is currently in use at the frontlines in the battle against Ebola. SYS Technologies, a leader in clean air systems, has recently installed its special inflatable isolation tents in Guinea. In addition to development and manufacture of the isolation tents, SYS has also developed an innovative stretcher that enables the protected transfer of patients to the isolated tent environment.
Global Giant 3M to Initiate Israel R&D Center. 3M, the American multinational giant, has announced that it will be building on its existing investment platform in Israel to establish a local research and development center.  Israel is the third country to host a 3M development lab, following the U.S. and Singapore. Its Israel branch was established in 1996, currently employing some 200 individuals. The new Israel R&D center will also oversee the company's investment fund, already slated to invest in two Israeli companies.
