The Israeli technology incubators committee run by the chief scientist office approved the establishment of 9 new startup companies within the technology incubators, with total grant of 17.2 million shekel. 7 out of the 9 companies are biotech related (Hebrew).

The Israeli ministry of health published an update for safety reporting within the Clinical Trials Guidelines.
 
FDA Transparency Initiative (March 2010). On June 2, 2009, Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, and FDA Commissioner Margaret Hamburg, MD, announced the formation of the FDA Transparency Task Force to develop recommendations for enhancing the transparency of the agency’s operations and decision-making process.

The FDA recently launched a new MedWatch Safety Information mobile text message program. The content of the text messages will consist of alerts that provide timely new safety information on human drugs, medical devices, and related safety topics. The messages contain actionable information that may impact both treatment and diagnostic choices for healthcare professional and patient.
